The first round saw the contestants being pretty evenly matched as were the opening interchanges and unusually for Brain of Britain there were a heck of a lot of chestnuts amongst the set in this episode. There were some cracking questions as usual and the standard this year is proving to be very high indeed. I know a few people complain that the format is unfair but it always seems to be the contestant who has shown the most rounded knowledge that wins and this proved to be the case in this episode.
