Chrono - Daily History Trivia!

                                                

I am still very much enjoying the new Daily History based Quiz app ' Chrono'. The app is a welcome addition to the many daily-style games that have emerged in the wake of Wordle, but Chrono brings something new to the table. Each day you are presented with a series of historical events which you must place into chronological order. Sounds easier on paper than it does when playing. The questions are well pitched, well balanced and I have found no days to be 'too easy' or indeed 'too hard' so thus far its been a very enjoyable game.

QLL Finals Night!

 

The Quiz League of London Finals night took place this week, with various team and individual tournaments coming to an end. The whole night was streamed live on Twitch which you can find HERE

It is a long night of quizzing to take in, but all worth a watch, especially the nail-biting Brain of London final!

New Mastermind Champion

 

Congratulations to Stuart Field of Sheffield who took the crown in this years Mastermind final! In a very close and gripping final, Stuart was able to edge out a stacked field and take home the victory.

Sunderland Quizzers!

 

On Saturday 24th June I will be hosting the Sunderland leg of the OQL National Quiz Event. This is the second Individual Quiz ran by the OQL and with over 300 people expected to take part around the country, this is the perfect chance to get involved and measure yourself against the very best.

The main part of the day consists of a 240-questions written quiz carried out in exam style. Each of the 8 papers in this set covers a different subject with and even split between what are traditionally labelled 'Low Brow' and 'High Brow' subjects.

Then following this, there will the option to get involved in some afternoon team quizzing. All will take place in a local pub and the day will run from 11am until around 4pm!

Individual Buzzer Quiz - Volunteers

I am soon to be trialling out an individual 1v1 Buzzer Quiz format. I need 8 volunteers (currently have a few spaces left) who are willing to play in potentially 7 matches online vs another opponent. Times can be worked out between us but it looks likely to be played Monday or Thursday evenings somewhere between 7pm and 10pm. All you need is a device to access zoom and a device to access the buzzer software site I plan to use.
