Book Suggestion

On a recent train journey I passed my time by dipping in and out of this short title, which covers a range of interesting facts about British History, Culture, Sports and everything in between. Full of facts, ideal whether you are a setter or looking to get to grips with a few of those "chestnut" facts that come up time and again, its well worth paying the pennies this is available for on Amazon.

Sunderland Echo Quiz League Questions

We received a surprising email last week form an individual wondering whether the questions from the Sunderland Echo Quiz League would continue to be placed on the Leagues site. It reminded me to post up the link to the archive which I have been meaning to do for some time, If you click here you will find a range of questions, by no means complete, produced by the teams in the league.

It is worth mentioning the Sunderland Quiz League is team based, with up to 6 people per team, and the sets are written by the team who haven't got a fixture in a given week. So, as you can expect the sets vary a lot, some are better than others...some have produced fun nights, others have produced nights where you are praying for the end, but all in all you will find a mixed bunch of questions there. As usual I will continue to post sets written by myself on the blog.

Fifteen to One

4Viewers

Applications are currently open for the next series of Fifteen to One. Follow the link HERE. Having recently taken part in the latest filming blocks myself (Series 10, with Series 9 also still be aired), I can vouch for it being a fun experience with a great production team. Well worth a try....and as a side note they do seem to be taking previous contestants back as when I was up there recording (it's all done in Glasgow) there were certainly a large portion of players who were back from a second go!
