As well as playing in several British based, and US centred, competitions in the world of online quizzing, in January this year I joined the latest season of the excellent Fundaesliga. This is a MIMIR style individual competition ran out of India, and the reason I did not initially join two seasons ago was that I feared the sets would be too inaccessible for a Brit. But I was very wrong...
The sets are excellently crafted, and whilst there are 2-3 Indian quads a week which you would expect, the vast majority of the quiz is suitable for an international audience. Its a mixed MIMIR, so both lowbrow and highbrow are present and its ran in a slightly different style (normal MIMIR is 3 questions a round for 5 rounds - this is 2 questions a round of 8). Great effort is made to make the questions balanced and having a good distribution of content.
As with other MIMIR competitions, the structure involves you working your way up and down league standings, meaning after 4-5 weeks you should always be playing players close to your level.
Wherever you are in the world, if you have a keen interest in quizzing I am sure you will enjoy Fundaesliga. All details can be found by emailing fundaesligaquizleague@gmail.com or following the link HERE
