Well, Monday is my last day off work sadly but flicking through this weeks Radio Times I was over the moon to see that us TV quiz fans have a bumper packed treat of shows heading our way tomorrow with the following to look forward to -
3.00pm - Brain of Britain (Radio 4)
So the TV Quiz night starts rather with a Radio show, does it count if you listen to it through Sky???. Nevertheless this years Brain of Britain is in full swing now and the 8th contest airs for the first time. A perfect start to proceedings.
4.30pm - Perfection (BBC2)
I somehow managed to miss the previous series of Perfection presented by Nick Knowles but nevertheless have read good things about it, and the new series begins on Monday in the start of a 6 week run. Hopefully Perfection is as good as some of the reviews I have read but either way it will be nice seeing a quiz show I have heard so much about for the first time.
5.35pm - Celebrity Mastermind Episode 5 (BBC1)
After a few days off the latest series of Celebrity Mastermind reaches its halfway point with Simon Armitage and Michael Vaughan amongst the guests to keep an eye out for.
6.00pm - Eggheads (BBC 2)
The latest series of the increasingly popular and ever present tea time quiz battle continues as Eggheads returns from a Christmas break.
7.30pm - A Question of Taste (BBC 2)
One of my real weak areas in quizzes is Food and Drink so this quiz show which focuses on testing the contestants knowledge of food, cooking, food history and the science of food should really improve my knowledge. I believe this is the second series and looks like it is going to be aired for the next six weeks in this slot.
8.00pm - University Challenge (BBC 2)
After the fun Christmas University Challenge shows its back to business as Balliol, Oxford take on Pembroke, Cambridge.
8.30pm - Only Connect (BBC Four)
And saving the best till last a Champions vs Champions edition of Only Connect which is my new favourite quiz. The standard will be high but this remains essential quiz viewing.
